Student Placement – IT Business Support, Stornoway
37 hours per week, summer placement
£13.52 per hour ( inclusive of £1.55 Distant Islands Allowance per hour )
Student placements will be available during the summer vacation.
You will assist the business support section within the IT department with day-to-day requests from end users through the helpdesk, to carry out web updates and, general IT admin tasks as required.
You must have good inter-personal skills in order to communicate effectively with users, colleagues and suppliers on technical and non-technical issues.
You should have knowledge about the different corporate IT systems that a business uses.
You must be currently studying towards a qualification in IT.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance
