’S e dleastanasan tidseir gnìomhan a thèid a thoirt dhaibh leis a’ cheannard a choileanadh a rèir phoileasaidhean na sgoile agus an ùghdarras foghlaim. Bithear a’ gabhail suim de dh’uallach obrach anns na raointean a leanas:

1 Deasachadh agus ceartachadh agus teagasg chlasaichean a thèid a thoirt dhaibh.
2 Leasachadh curraicealam na sgoile.
3 Dèiligeadh ri, clàradh agus aithisgean a dhèanamh air obair sgoilearan.
4 Sgoilearan a dheasachadh airson deuchainnean agus cuideachadh le rianachd dheuchainnean.
5 Comhairle agus stiùireadh a thoirt do sgoilearan a thaobh foghlam.
6 Cur taic ri slàinte, sàbhailteachd agus sochairean chloinne.
7 A bhith a’ co-obrachadh le pàrantan, luchd-taice agus proifeiseantaich eile.
8 Leasachadh proifeiseanta iomchaidh a ghabhail os làimh.
9 Pàirt a ghabhail ann am planadh aig ìre sgoile, àrdachadh buaidh agus lèirmheas pearsanta
10 Cur ri deagh rian agus feumalachdan farsaing na sgoile.

Feumaidh ceum / dioplòma freagarrach agus clàradh Comhairle Choitcheann Thidsearan Alba (CCTA) a bhith aig an neach a shoirbhicheas. Feumar fileantachd sa Ghàidhlig.

Feumaidh tu ballrachd de Sgeama Dìon Bhuidhnean So-leònta (PVG) mar riatanas laghail a thaobh a bhith an sàs ann an obair riaghlaichte le Clann san dreuchd seo. (Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme - mygov.scot).

Bidh seo £8,000 gu lèir, air a phàigheadh ann an dà chuibhreann; thèid £5,000 a phàigheadh nuair a thòiseachas an dreuchd, agus thèid an £3,000 a tha air fhàgail a phàigheadh nuair a bhios 3 bliadhna de sheirbheis riarachail deiseil. Bidh e mar dhleastanas air tidsearan a dh’fhàgas cosnadh na Comhairle rè a’ chiad 3 bliadhna pàirt den phàigheadh a phàigheadh air ais.

£34,531 - £42,758 per annum, inclusive of £2,287 Distant Islands Allowance per annum

The purpose of this post is to contribute to overall school effectiveness in respect of the following areas:

(a)Curricular
(b)Care and welfare
(c)Collegiate
(d)Professional development.

Subject to the policies of the school and the education authority the duties of teachers are to perform such tasks as the headteacher shall direct having reasonable regard to overall teacher workload related to the following categories:

1 Teaching assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction.
2 Developing the school curriculum.
3 Assess, recording and reporting on the work of pupils.
4 Preparing pupils for examinations and assisting with the administration of examinations.
5 Providing advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education.
6 Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of pupils.
7 Working in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
8 Undertaking appropriate and agreed continuing professional development.
9 Participating in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review.
10 Contributing to good order and the wider needs of the school.

The successful candidate must have an appropriate degree / diploma and GTC Scotland Registration. Fluency in Gaelic is essential.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children (Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme - mygov.scot).

The above teaching post is a part time, permanent position and the salary is in accordance with current regulations plus £2,287 distant islands allowance.

An additional payment is offered to successful applicants under the Comhairle’s recruitment incentive scheme. This will be £8,000 in total, paid in two instalments; £5,000 will be paid on commencement of employment with the remaining £3,000 being paid on completion of 3 years’ satisfactory service. Teachers leaving the employment of the Comhairle during the first 3 years will be liable to repay an element of the payment.
