We’re now looking for a Building Facilities Assistant (also known as School Janitor) to join our friendly, supportive team at Beattock Primary. This is an excellent opportunity if you’re seeking term-time, family-friendly work in a role where your contribution is genuinely valued. 

About the role:
You’ll be part a dynamic, customer facing facilities team, providing essential janitorial and cleaning support to help keep the school safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors. 

Your duties will include: 
*Carrying out general cleaning and janitorial tasks to a high standard
*Supporting daily building safety checks and health & safety procedures
*Assisting the Lead Occupier with safe operation of the premises 
*Supporting energy efficiency and responsible building usage 
*Liaising professionally with all staff and service users

You’ll work both independently and as part of a small team, using a proactive, organised, and methodical approach. 

Working Hours:
4.75 hours per week 
8am-8.57am Monday to Friday 
39 weeks per year

Important information:
