Based in Dumfries, the post holder will work within the Building Standards team. We are looking to recruit Building Standards Surveyors who will carry out verification of building warrants from receipt to completion and provide assistance to members of the public on matters relating to Building Standards with a clear emphasis on improvement, performance delivery and customer service.

 

You should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have full membership of the RICS (Building Control Faculty) or equivalent. You must also have a thorough knowledge of and considerable experience in Building Standards and possess excellent communication, negotiation and IT skills. 

 

You must have a good standard of written and spoken English, be able to prioritise and manage your time effectively, work well under pressure and as part of a team.

 

A clean current driving licence is essential.
