Job Description

Casual Customer Service Advisor

Various Locations in Dumfries and Galloway

Are you energetic, enthusiastic and committed to delivering excellent customer service?

These roles are based within Customer Services Centres across Dumfries and Galloway which bring together Libraries, Local Studies & Archives, Registration, and face to face Customer Services.

These are casual posts supporting the wider Customer Services Team with the opportunity to work across various sites across our region supporting local communities.

In a typical day the service can go from registering a marriage, delivering BookBug sessions, distributing library books and supporting customers with general enquiries.

So, if you love variety in your day and flexibility in your working hours we want to hear from you.

Ideally, you’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to deal with customer enquiries sensitively.

You’ll have at least six months experience working face to face with customers with a clear commitment to customer service excellence.

The roles will offer weekday/evening/weekend working and a current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.

In return we’ll provide you with all training necessary to fulfil the role and an opportunity to make a difference in our local communities.

Requirements

This post is subject to a Baseline Personnel Security Standards check, and this includes candidate vetting through Disclosure Scotland.
