As a Casual Fitness Instructor, you’ll help us provide cover for annual leave and sickness while becoming an important part of our fitness team. This role is a fantastic way to put your qualifications into practice and build your confidence in a real fitness environment. You’ll gain experience in a variety of areas, and you’ll be supported by an experienced team while developing the practical skills and experience that can help you take the next step in your fitness career.
Already have a full-time job or other commitments? The casual nature of this role could be a great fit, giving you the opportunity to stay active, meet new people and do something you enjoy in your free time.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Deliver fun and engaging group fitness classes.

- Provide fitness programs and guidance.
- Carry out gym inductions for new members.
- Supervise the gym floor, creating a safe, clean and welcoming environment.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We’re looking for someone who is positive, approachable and genuinely enjoys helping people. You’ll be confident working with a wide range of customers and able to make people feel welcome, supported and motivated. You’ll also be comfortable working independently.
Great customer service is important to us, so you’ll need to be friendly, outgoing and passionate about creating a positive experience for our members.
Basic IT skills are useful, as our Legend Leisure Management System plays an important part in the day-to-day running of our fitness programme.
WHY JOIN US?
This is more than just supervising a gym floor, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference to people’s health, fitness and wellbeing, while working as part of a supportive and welcoming team.
We want our instructors to bring their own personality, creativity and ideas to the role. If you love creating fun, fresh engaging fitness classes, you’ll have the opportunity to put your own stamp on what you deliver.
If you’re passionate about fitness and people come and be part of the DG1 team!
A First Aid Qualification, IT skills and knowledge of Health and Safety would be an advantage.
