Casual Ice Sport Coaches

Dumfries Ice Bowl

£14.83 Per hour

 

Dumfries and Galloway Council aims to encourage more people of all ages and abilities to actively participate in Ice Sport activities.

 

The Council are building a pool of coaches to work in conjunction with our affiliated ice sports clubs. In delivering quality and progressive training sessions and holiday programmes.

 

You will have or be working towards either an Ice Hockey UK / SIHA / EIHA Coaching Award or Level 1 BIS accredited qualification.

 

Experience of working with young people and delivering coaching sessions is essential. Candidates must be energetic, enthusiastic and have a passion for delivering safe and enjoyable pathways for the region’s young athletes.

 

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.  From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.

 

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.

 

A current driving licence would be an advantage.
