Are you enthusiastic, motivated, and looking for a new coaching opportunity?
We are looking for teachers and coaches who can provide an encouraging and supportive environment to help nurture our swimmers, for those wanting to compete and those simply there to keep fit. We would look for you to provide swimming coaching to contribute to the development of all members, and to maximise the development and performance of our swimmers.
You could be working in the Ryan Centre or The Merrick Leisure Centre. You will be responsible for instructing swimming lessons and assisting with the administration and promotion of the swim scheme. Instruction will take place during the daytime, evenings, and weekends for which this rate of pay is inclusive.
You will ideally possess a current UKCC Level 2 Teaching Aquatics certificate, or equivalent. A UKCC Level 1 Teaching Aquatics certificate is essential. You will have excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic, reliable and have experience of teaching both children and adults. You will also have experience of writing and following lesson plans and the ability to work with varying abilities of swimmers. You must have excellent Customer Care skills and the ability to support all members of the Swim Scheme. Ideally you will have background knowledge of the facilities at The Ryan Centre, The Merrick Leisure Centre, and an understanding of Child Protection Issues.
A First Aid Certificate and knowledge of current Health and Safety issues are desirable.
