£19,093.01 - £20,272.14

 

You will be required to work 30.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

Monday to Friday 08:24am – 14:30pm

 

This position is to take charge of a large school kitchen. You will be given direction / support from your line manager.

You must have Catering Manager or supervisory experience as well as cooking skills / experience

 

Part of your duties within this role will include the following:-

 

Organising the day-to-day running of the kitchen;

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;

Be able to approach problem management with ease;

Deal with any complaints.

 

Having knowledge of the following would be beneficial to this post:

Evaluating food costs;                     

Menu planning;

Managing the kitchen budget;         

H.A.S.A.W. and Cooksafe

Follow procedures.

 

Also be aware of the current food trends and customer awareness

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.  From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
