We are seeking to appoint a dynamic leader with vision and a passion for learning who will, together with the management team, lead learning at Sheuchan Primary School, which includes a Nursery setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape educational provision and is supported by a management team.
Sheuchan Primary School is located on Leswalt High Road in the picturesque market town of Stranraer, in the west of Dumfries and Galloway. The school sits in the northern part of the town, close to Agnew Park and the historic Castle of St John. There is convenient access to major transport routes, including the A75 heading east towards Dumfries, the A718 serving the northern Rhins, and the A77 connecting northwards to Ayr and Glasgow. The school enjoys an excellent reputation within the local community and has a warm, welcoming ethos, supported by engaged parents, a friendly and committed staff team, and enthusiastic young learners.
We are seeking to appoint a leader who is ready for an exciting challenge in leading a vibrant school community. You will have a vision and a passion for improving outcomes for all and to best meet the needs of every individual child. As Headteacher, you will lead the improvement agenda and drive the school’s development priorities along with a professional staff team. The school community is very proud of the school and its long tradition of serving the community of the east of Stranraer and surrounding areas.
