You will be required to work 21.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Nursery Nurse to join the staff team within Kelloholm Nursery. Kelloholm Nursery is situated within rural Dumfries and Galloway and is currently registered to accommodate 60 pupils. The nursery enrols eligible 2-year-old children and offers 1140hrs to families.
Kelloholm Nursery is very much at the centre of the community and works closely with all partner agencies. It is very well resourced and benefits from a large outdoor area. The Nursery shares space within the school e.g. main hall for sports activities and the large open playground which includes green field areas and garden area.
Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Nursery settings may operate between the hours of 8.00am – 6.00pm and employee working patterns will be required to meet the needs of the service.
Applicants for Nursery Nurse Posts should be registered with the SSSC.
This is a Fixed Term post for a period of up to 1 year to cover a maternity leave.
This post may be suitable for secondment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post
These posts are considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
