Based within Cargen Tower, Dumfries, the post will be part of the Facilities Services, Solutions Centre, Print Unit Team providing a full range of printing functions to the wider council and clerical and administrative support to the Facilities team.

 

The post will be an integral part of the Solutions Centre and Print Unit. You must have experience working to tight deadlines, in a multi-tasking environment whilst working with members of the public, with a core skill of communicating with staff and clients/customers.

 

You will be confident and highly motivated with the ability to work within a challenging, but rewarding, working environment as part of a team and as an individual.

 

You will possess good organisational and interpersonal skills and have experience working in an office environment and print unit.

 

Duties include preparation and printing of documents, input, update and interrogation of data utilising various database systems. Point of contact for staff and members of the public. General clerical duties associated with an office environment, financial transactions and creation of performance information.

 

You will be educated to SVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or Standard Grade or equivalent in English and Maths.

 

A good knowledge of Microsoft packages is essential, with good knowledge of general office working procedures and print unit being desirable.

 

This is a permanent post. Hours of work: Monday – Friday 7.12hrs
