Job Description

Senior Customer Service Advisor (19/316)

Annandale and Eskdale

£27,837-£29,565

Are you energetic, enthusiastic and committed to delivering excellent customer service?

These roles are based within Customer Services Centres which bring together Libraries, Local Studies & Archives, Registration, and face to face Customer Services.

The role involves a combination of delivering services to customers while also supporting and supervising an onsite staff team.

In a typical day you’ll transition between delivering services direct to customers to conducting health and safety audits and meeting with staff. So, if you love a challenge and variety in your day, we want to hear from you.

If you can see yourself at the heart of a community supporting people through the best and worst life events, we want to hear from you.

If you can see yourself leading an onsite team and encouraging them to develop and grow then we want to hear from you.

Ideally, you’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to deal with customer enquiries sensitively.

You’ll have experience working face to face with customers as well as practical knowledge of supervising staff teams.

This is an ideal opportunity to join our team working across Annandale and Eskdale which includes our flagship registration site, the home of weddings in Gretna.

Some evening/weekend working will be required, and a current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.

In return we’ll provide you with all training necessary to fulfil the role and an opportunity to make a difference in your community.

Requirements

A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.

This post is subject to a Baseline Personnel Security Standards check, and this includes candidate vetting through Disclosure Scotland.

With an exciting benefits package, working for Dumfries and Galloway Council supports you to invest in your own health and wellbeing.
