Are you passionate about making a real difference to our communities through Lifelong Learning and ready for the next step in your career?
If so, then an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Lifelong Learning Service for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader to provide operational support to our team of multi-skilled practitioners across the region and assist with the Strategic delivery of Adult, Family and Digital Learning; Parenting, ESOL and Sports Coach Education.
The post will require you to have effective people management, communication and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects as part of a varied workload.
You will:
- Be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Community Education, Community Learning and Development or a related subject matter and/or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience
- Have experience of managing staff, budgets and building strong relationships with partners
- Have experience of securing and managing grant funding
- Have an understanding of the national landscape affecting Lifelong Learning and Community Learning and Development
- Be able to work well on your own initiative
- Be enthusiastic and passionate about Community Learning and Development
With experience of planning and self-evaluating you will be expected to take a lead on preparations for Education Scotland related inspection activity and will assist the Lifelong Learning Manager in the delivery of the Community Learning and Development Partners’ Plan.
A Full Driving licence is required along with some evening and occasional weekend working.
