Looking for a role that makes a real difference in your community? Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Roads Service is looking for a permanent, full-time Roads Technicians to join our team.
This is a chance to build a meaningful career with opportunities to grow into more technical and leadership roles in the future.
As a Roads Technician, you will be working outdoors on essential infrastructure like roads, footpaths and streetlighting. You will be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team undertaking condition and safety inspection of the Local Road Network as well as assisting in the delivery of projects that keep our communities safe and connected.
We will invest in full training and development, providing the skills to support the supervision, planning and co-ordination of day-to-day maintenance ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
We are looking for someone who is:
- a team player with effective communication skills
- willing to learn and develop their career.
- flexible, reliable, and motivated
- in possession of a full UK driving licence
Previous experience or knowledge of roads maintenance, working with MS Office and an awareness of Health and Safety regulations would be a bonus!
