Trainee Valuer (18/120)

Dumfries

 

Dumfries and Galloway Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer is looking to recruit a Trainee Valuer.

Based at Militia House Dumfries for 36 hours per week.

DGC Band 5, £26,766 - £28,419

The post is offered on a career pathway, progressing with qualification and experience, to a DGC Band 9, £37,596 - £40,356.

The successful candidate will assist the Valuation Team in the survey and measurement of property for Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rating.

They must be able to demonstrate good time management, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be reliable and able to work well under pressure and be highly motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic.

This entry level post will allow the successful candidate to combine work and study by undertaking a distance learning degree at Edinburgh Napier University starting in September 2025.

The successful candidate must meet the entry requirements of BSc (Hons) Construction & the Built Environment (Graduate Apprenticeship) – Real Estate Surveying.

Salary placing is dependent on experience and qualifications.
