Casual Museum Attendant

Stranraer

£12.29 per hour

 

 

We are looking to recruit a number of casual Museum Attendants to work at Stranraer Museum and the Castle of St John.

 

These posts help cover holiday leave, sick leave and additional daily cover.

 

Working front of house we need reliable, trustworthy, personable and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about providing a high standard of customer service. These active, public-facing roles will involve a range of activities including: invigilating galleries, greeting and providing information to customers, answering telephone and on-site queries, ensuring site security and monitoring health and safety, maintaining records, cleaning, report writing, dealing with retail and ticket sales and cashing up. Tasks will also involve occasional lone working, key holder duties, weekend and bank holiday working and some evening cover.

 

A high level of communication and customer care skills, and experience of working in visitor services are essential.

 

A good standard of education and some local knowledge of the area and its artistic history are desirable.
