Development Officer (Fixed Term)

You will be required to work 21 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year.

Children and Families Social Work Services looking for a Development Officer and Bairns Hoose Co-Ordinator to deliver on the ambition to offer children and young people a trauma sensitive, rights-based, recovery focussed response to their care, protection, justice and recovery needs.   

The Bairns Hoose is based on the European Barnahus, a child-friendly, multi-disciplinary, and interagency model of justice, care and recovery for children who are victims and witnesses of all forms of violence. A carefully designed place where all services and supports are child centred, rights- based and recovery focussed with Police, Social Work, Health, Court and recovery support services based under one roof.   

The Bairns Hoose Development Officer role is a part time post, base is negotiable with hybrid working available.  You will work alongside other colleagues and partner agencies to project manage and support the implementation of the new Bairns Hoos model in Dumfries and Galloway.

You must be educated to SCQF Level 9.

If you are interested in the post of Development Officer you should have a good working knowledge of national  improvement projects and initiatives, quality and improvement techniques and Project and programme management systems.

This post is fixed term until 31st of March 2025.

This post may be suitable for secondment.  Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.
