Job Description

Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city. www.leisureandculturedundee.com This role is part of the Active Dundee service within Leisure and Culture Dundee. Active Dundee is the city’s leading provider of community sport, leisure and wellbeing services. We manage 21 public facilities on behalf of Dundee City Council. Requirements

You will have an HND or Degree or equivalent within relevant subject or equivalent working experience in a project management field. Experience of formal project management training eg Prince 2 would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Community Appointment Days (CAD) as a multi-agency, system-wide programme. Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of strategic frameworks that align CADs with Dundee’s Population Health priorities, ensuring sustainable transformation, prevention-focused practice, and improved health outcomes for people with long-term conditions. To develop clear and consistent plans to improve, modernise, design, build, tailor, test and implement a coherent service to support the wellbeing of the population of Dundee.

The Individual

You will have experience of working in a project environment, ideally in a Project Management capacity. You will have experience of using information for management purposes and in setting and monitoring targets and performance indicators. You will also have experience of organising and chairing meetings. Experience of co-ordinating all Project Phases including Initiation, Design, Implementation, Transition, Support and Closure. Experience of report writing and presentation skills and experience of change management and the use of skills to facilitate change. Experience and knowledge of delivering effective customer-orientated services Evidence of excellent communication and negotiation/influencing skills in complex negotiation, sometimes in emotive and challenging hostile environments. You will have good knowledge of methodologies and techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects. You will also have effective leadership skills. Ability to lead and create a clear common purpose amongst the members of the sub-project teams. Ability to carry out research and analysis Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include project and Copilot.
