Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city. www.leisureandculturedundee.com Duty Managers are required on a casual basis at Caird Hall. When work is available you will be contacted. There is no obligation for Leisure & Culture Dundee to offer you work, nor are you obliged to accept work.

Requirements

Previous experience of working in a customer focused environment. First Aid trained.

Responsibilities

The Casual Duty Officer will work closely with the Customer Experience Officer to help oversee the front of house operations at Caird Hall, ensuring a first-class standard of customer service for all visitors and a safe and secure environment for members of the public and venue staff. You will be a primary point of contact for on-the-day event delivery, including customer care, client liaison, staff supervision, as well as health and safety requirements.

The Individual

You will have experience leading front of house or visitor services, delivering a first-class customer service operation in hospitality, entertainment or events environment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and can demonstrate skills in working flexibly and customer service. You will also have good organisational skills with a proactive, collaborative and solution focused approach to work any challenges which arise. You will have good knowledge and understanding of security and safety issues to protect members of the public, the venue and its staff. Able to function effectively under pressure. This is a casual post where flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential.
