Job Description

Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city. www.leisureandculturedundee.com We are looking to recruit a pool of casual leisure attendants to cover various hours within the Regional Performance Centre for Sport (RPC Dundee) and McTaggart Gymnastics Centre. Various hours are available, including evenings and weekends, to cover staff annual leave and illnesses, as well as to provide additional cover during large scale sporting events. When work is available you will be contacted. There is no obligation for Leisure & Culture Dundee to offer you work, nor are you obliged to accept work. The rate of pay is £13.37 per hour.

Requirements

2 National 4 passes (or equivalent), or relevant experience

Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibility for effectively addressing operational issues, health & safety matters and customer-focused facilities/services/activities, relating to Leisure Attendant roles/duties.

The Individual

You will have excellent communication skills to work within a team and good interpersonal skills including customer service skills. You will also have the ability to manage time effectively with little supervision and be able to maintain accurate records and have experience of cash handling. You will be able to work under pressure and be able to use your initiative and be able to respond to the needs of the service. You will have the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays. You will be required to follow Health and Safety guidelines, Safe Systems of Work and complete Daily inspection checklist. You must be willing to develop your skills and attend all relevant training.
