You will have a HNC or equivalent in relevant discipline.Responsibilities
You will provide a civil and structural engineering service to the Department as directed by the Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer or Head of Design and Property.The Individual
You will have experience of civil and structural engineering design and contract supervision under direction of engineer along with experience of structural and geotechnical surveys. Experience of CDM & Risk Assessment, use of technical standards and site supervision is also essential.
You will have experience of CAD, design packages, billing and measurement, cost control packages with knowledge of survey equipment and techniques. An up to date knowledge of technical standards and the ability to co-ordinate project teams and external consultants is also essential.
You will be able to undertake site visits and surveys, including working at height and in confined spaces and have a flexible approach to working hours and the capacity to work unsociable hours if required.
A current driving licence is required.
