Job Description

Based at Drumgeith Campus, you will be part of a casual workers list who can be called upon to cover last minute absences and annual leave cover. This post will include evening and weekend work. An example of shifts are: Monday to Friday 5pm - 9:15pm and weekend shifts are Saturday 8:45am - 6:15pm and Sunday 8:45am - 1:15pm. When work is available you will be contacted. There is no obligation on the Children and Families Service to offer you work, nor are you obliged to accept work. Requirements

You will have 3 ​National 4s, or equivalent, to include English and Maths with current first aid certificate and food hygiene qualification or be willing to gain this.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a cohesive support team providing practical and clerical support service throughout the campus as well as ensuring all bookings are prepared and ready for customer use. Provide support within the main office and reception of the campus. You will provide a professional and welcoming reception service for the school campus, acting as the first point of contact for pupils, staff, parents, and visitors. The postholder will manage all administrative tasks associated with the booking and coordination of community facility lets, including meeting rooms, tennis courts, gym, and football pitches. This role supports the smooth operation of the school’s front-of-house services and ensures efficient use of campus resources by both internal and external users.

The Individual

You will have relevant experience in a busy office, including phones/reception, email and printing, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word along with experience of working with young people or customers. You will have good written and verbal communication skills the ability to maintain confidentiality, to work as part of a team and work with minimum supervision with a willingness to undertake training and willing to work weekends and evenings. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council .
