Requirements

You will have a basic secondary education with a D1 Category on a full current driving licence.

Responsibilities

You will work within the Fleet Section’s School Transport Team, undertaking all rotational duties to a high standard as directed by the line manager. The post holder will be responsible for the safe transportation and welfare of service users and staff travelling in fleet vehicles. Key responsibilities include providing home-to-school transport for the City’s ASN children, delivering transport support for mainstream school trips, and supporting wider community transport needs across the city.

The Individual

You will have previous driving experience along with experience of computer/paperwork and good communication skills. You will be flexible, proactive, self-motivated and compassionate. You will have the ability to work unsupervised, work to deadlines and as part of a team. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
