Requirements

You will have 3 National 5s, including English & Maths related subject and experience of working in an administrative role.

Responsibilities

You will assist in the provision of an efficient administrative and technical support service to the Planning Team in the City Development Department. The functions include consultations and administration of applications for consent to develop under the Town & Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (as amended) and related legislation and other general matters arising from the Authority's Statutory Planning functions. You will also assist with a quality control and management audit of all the Support Team processes and ensure excellent customer service delivery in unison with the Council's Customer Service Team and the Support Team.

The Individual

You will have a sound understanding and relevant experience of general office administration, along with experience in dealing with members of the public and delivering a high quality of customer care and relevant experience in administrative or technical support roles. Experience of working with digital systems and databases, handling customer enquiries in a professional setting, excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams Word and Excel and other similar IT packages are essential. You will have understanding of administrative procedures and office systems and awareness of the importance of data accuracy and confidentiality. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines and have high attention to detail and accuracy.
