You will have HNC or equivalent in Business, Administration or related subject area or significant work experience in a related field.Responsibilities
You will play a critical role within IT in the procurement of IT equipment and services. You will provide competent procurement advice and assistance to Dundee City Council in order to support the implementation of effective best practice procurement throughout the organisation and support and promote corporate procurement policies, processes and systems. You will organise and distribute IT equipment, including end user devices, peripherals and software and organise the receipt storage and distribution of this equipment. You will manage equipment and record transactions and movements as per established procedures along with undertaking stock deliveries to customer sites. The post supports the IT Service, Corporate Procurement Manager, Category Officer for IT and IT Departmental Staff by assisting in all aspects in the day to day operation of the Procurement of IT Equipment and Services.The Individual
You will have experience in the use of all Microsoft Office packages (or equivalent), i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation software.
You will have good organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail along with strong numeracy and analysis skills. You will have the ability to work to tight deadlines and must be able to meet the demands of the job and attend on a regular basis.
You will be articulate, with strong interpersonal skills; confident, self-motivated and enthusiastic. You will be excellent communicator with the ability to deal effectively with people on all levels and good team player.
You will hold full current UK driving licence.
