You will have an HNC or equivalent in Business, Administration or related subject.Responsibilities
Procurement Systems Administrator will provide specialist procurement systems advice and administration to Dundee City Council, to support the implementation of effective best practice procurement throughout the organisation, and support and promote corporate procurement policies, processes and systems. The postholder will ensure that systems run efficiently, users are supported and trained, data is reliable and reports which enables effective procurement and financial decision making.
The post supports the Team Leader (Procurement Systems) by assisting in all aspects in the day-to-day operation of the Council’s Procurement Systems.The Individual
You will have experience in the use of a all Microsoft Office packages (or equivalent) - i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation software along with experience in using a purchase-to-pay system to support the organisation’s purchasing processes (e.g. PECOS, Oracle, SAP, Integra, Civica Purchasing, or other).
You will have excellent organisational abilities, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. You will apply a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of your work. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight and conflicting deadlines, proficient in handling and maintaining detailed financial or statistical data and strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and work with data sets are essential.
