Working in a hybrid style, based at home and Claverhouse office, you will work full time, 37 hours per week on a fixed term basis for 2 years.

You will have a Degree in Social Work, CQSW, Dip SW,CSS (with appropriate option).Responsibilities
You will assist in maintaining vulnerable people in the community by providing a range of care management tasks. These include the assessment of individual need, the negotiation of flexible packages of care, and the monitoring and reviewing of individual care packages.The Individual
You will have knowledge of Adult Support and Protection legislation. Working knowledge of assessing needs with experience and knowledge of social work values, in working with long term conditions, experience of working with other professionals and involvement in associated areas of interest/voluntary organisations and third sector agencies.
You will have good communication skills - verbal/written, have IT/PC competence and the ability to assess needs. You will have knowledge of person-centred planning, of personal outcomes approaches with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet challenges and deadlines.
You will have the ability to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within specified timescale.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
