Requirements

You will be GTCS Registered, have knowledge of relevant curriculum areas and an awareness of the main current issues in Scottish Education.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Accessibility and Inclusion Service you will provide advice and support to young people, their families and nursery/primary/secondary staff for pupils who have Additional Support Needs, particularly those who are deaf/have hearing loss. You will build the capacity of staff in schools in teaching and learning approaches for pupils who are deaf/have hearing loss.

The Individual

You will have knowledge of relevant curriculum areas and awareness of main, current issues in Scottish Education. In addition you will have a positive and caring approach and commitment to young people, have good communication/interpersonal skills and relate well to others. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
