Job Purpose

As part of the £25 million Cultural Kilmarnock project, the Palace Theatre and Grand Hall will be undergoing significant refurbishment and modernisation. In preparation for this work, you will ensure robust arrangements are in place to support programming within the theatre and concert hall leading up to the refurbishment works, deliver high quality operational management systems and processes, develop staff transition plans and guide the staff through the change process. Your key tasks and areas of responsibility are outlined below. You will; 1. Provide day-to-day management and maintenance of Palace Theatre & Grand Hall 2. Develop and deliver a programme of training for all staff within the performing arts team 3. Review all processes and procedures including risk assessments, to ensure safe systems of work across the venue 4. Provide assistance to all productions hiring the venue including technical support 5. Oversee the smooth operation of all front of house activities including standards of customer service6. Seek and develop mutually beneficial partnerships that will have a positive impact on the lives of our local residents, including: • East Ayrshire Council • Community Groups • Promoters and Artists • Federation of Scottish Theatre Please see the attached Job Specification which outlines all responsibilities and duties for this post. Rate of Pay

Rate of Pay: £29,939 - £32,542 per annum Hours of work will be 35 hours per week based on a 2 week working pattern - please see work pattern attached. This is a temporary position for 6 months from date of appointment.
