Modern Apprentice - Bricklayer

Job Description

To undertake training as an Apprentice Bricklayer and to assist in all brickwork repairs and all refurbishment work to Council properties; to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the Council’s key objectives; specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement and Best Value. Requirements

The Individual

To apply for this post you must reside in East Ayrshire and be aged between 16-24 or up to age 29 if you are care experienced or have a disability. There is 1 full time temporary post based at Holmquarry House, Kilmarnock. This posts is temporary for 4 years to allow the successful candidate to complete their apprenticeship. Start date is August 2026. The starting rate for this post is £13.45 per hour, moving onto a percentage of the relevant grade in year 4. As part of the recruitment and selection procedure, if your application reaches the next stage you will be required to attend for a skills test and a formal interview. ** THE SKILLS TESTING AND FORMAL INTERVIEWS WILL TAKE PLACE BETWEEN MONDAY 1 JUNE TO FRIDAY 26 JUNE 2026.
