Vacancy Information
The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £14.09 - £15.14
This is a 52-week non-sessional post i.e., it will include working during the school holidays.
Temporary until 30th June 2025.
Days and hours of work:
Wednesday, 09:00-15:00
Thursday, 09:00-14:15
Friday, 09:00-12:00

The successful candidate for this post will work in one of our nursery rooms.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant nursery team. There are currently 2 nursery rooms at West Loan Campus.
Preston Tower Primary School is located in the coastal town of Prestonpans. It is a very large school split over two campuses. We currently have over 860 children from Nursery – Primary 7. The school was established in 2019, following the amalgamation of 2 schools.
Our West Loan Campus currently has thirteen P1 – P3 classes and two rooms in our nursery. Our Preston Road Campus has sixteen P4 – P7 classes.
The Senior Leadership Team includes our Head Teacher, 4 Depute Head Teachers and 2 Principal Teachers.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
Good standard of general education.
Experience of working with or caring for children with additional support needs.
Nursery Only: SSSC registration or agreement to register within 6 months from the date of appointment to this post is essential.
PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
