We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and highly skilled Depute Head Teacher to join our Wallyford Team. We are a growing school with a current role of 653 including our Nursery which has a role of around 150. Our community is benefiting from a lot of new housing and, as a result, our role increases throughout the year. We have 3 Nursery Rooms and 21 classes from P1-P7. Around 29% of our learners have Additional Support Needs. We have worked hard as a team to raise attainment for all and our overall attainment in literacy and numeracy continues to increase. We are excited about our improvement journey and will continue to focus on improving attainment, narrowing the poverty related attainment gap and providing excellent teaching and learning opportunities at Wallyford.

The initial remit for the successful new Depute Head Teacher will be focused on Early Years, leading strategic improvement across the Nursery and P1. In addition, the successful candidate will work as part of our Senior Leadership Team on other whole school initiatives. We are looking for someone with an excellent knowledge of Early Years pedagogy, quality assurance and leading strategic change.

At Wallyford we consider mutual trust, understanding and partnership to be important in helping to make a child’s experience here both happy and successful. We set high standards and expectations for all our learners and each member of our team's support with this is vital. We look forward to welcoming a new member of our team to join us on our improvement journey.
