Join our IT Business Services team and help shape and deliver modern digital services across the organisation. You’ll take a lead role in managing and improving Microsoft 365 and core enterprise systems (MIS), ensuring platforms are well-governed, optimised, and aligned to business needs.

The Role

  • Provide technical leadership and delivery across Microsoft 365 and business-critical systems
  • Act as the bridge between business and IT, translating needs into effective solutions
  • Drive system optimisation, governance, and continuous improvement
  • Support delivery of digital transformation and service improvement initiatives
  • Lead the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of new technologies
  • Work with services to redesign processes and maximise system value

Job Details

To work as a senior member of the IT Business Services team with a primary focus on the effective utilisation of the Council’s Management Information Systems (MIS) to enable Council wide digital transformation.

The key areas of responsibility are:
• Provision of an account management service on behalf of IT to all Council Services.
• Management of the Council’s Management Information Systems.
• Specification and procurement of Management Information Systems.
• Supplier and contract management.
• Providing Level 3 IT Support.
• Support and development of the MATS Low Code environment as required
• Provide professional advice and guidance to enable digital transformation.
• Undertake evaluation, selection and standardisation of new technologies.

The post holder will be a proactive and forward-thinking individual with experience of developing, procuring and implementing new application systems and managing system supplier contracts.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Relevant degree and/or able to demonstrate equivalent in depth knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience in this field.

Driving Licence
A full current driving licence is desirable for this post.

Level 1 Disclosure Clearance
This role requires Level 1 Disclosure Clearance to allow access to the Public Sector Network. ELC will submit a Police Act Disclosure application on behalf of the preferred candidate and receipt of the subsequent certificate will be required prior to commencement.
