We are looking for a motivated Lead IT Analyst to act as the technical lead for Microsoft 365. Working within the Infrastructure & Security Team, you will play a key role in delivering new capabilities, supporting adoption of cloud technologies and maximising the value of the Council's investment in Microsoft 365.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Microsoft 365 platform, implementing new services and features, and ensuring governance, security and operational standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services and workloads, including identity and access management.
- Configure and manage integrations between Microsoft 365 and enterprise applications.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell and other scripting tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Act as an escalation point for 3rd line support issues relating to Microsoft 365 services.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, ensure governance standards are met and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures and support materials.
- Work with project teams, technical specialists and business stakeholders to translate requirements into Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Support the implementation of new Microsoft 365 capabilities and enterprise integrations.
Skills and Experience
You will have experience administering Microsoft 365 technologies and cloud services, delivering enterprise integrations and supporting digital transformation initiatives. Experience with Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and automation technologies such as PowerShell would be advantageous.
You will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a customer-focused approach, with the ability to balance operational support and project delivery.

Job Details
To work as a senior member of the IT Infrastructure & Security team with a primary focus on the development and management of the Councils voice and data networks to ensure they are capable of delivering Council Wide digital transformation.
The key areas of responsibility are:
• Design, development and management of the Council’s Wide Area network.
• Design, development and management of the Council’s Local Area Networks.
• Design, development and management of the Council’s Wireless Networks.
• Design, development and management of the Council’s voice networks.
• Supplier and contract management
• Providing Level 3 IT support.
• Provide professional advice and guidance to enable Council wide digital transformation.
The post holder will be a proactive and forward-thinking individual with experience of developing, procuring and implementing IT infrastructure.

Relevant Qualifications
Relevant degree and/or able to demonstrate equivalent in depth knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
Driving Licence
A full current driving licence is desirable for this post.
Level 1 Disclosure Clearance
This role requires Level 1 Disclosure Clearance to allow access to the Public Sector Network. ELC will submit a Police Act Disclosure application on behalf of the preferred candidate and receipt of the subsequent certificate will be required prior to commencement.
