East Lothian Council is seeking a Senior Project Officer to deliver a number of elements of our digital transformation programme.  These include optimising our lets & bookings process, implementing a new booking system and improving our charging model.

East Lothian Council is seeking a Senior Project Officer to take a lead role to deliver a number of elements of our digital transformation programme.  This includes:

  • optimisation and consolidation of our lets & bookings processes across our corporate and education buildings, with the emphasis on users ability to self-serve
  • implementation of a new booking system that supports the above, working with key stakeholders across the council and central teams including IT and the Improvement Team; and
  • reviewing and developing a transparent, equitable and simplified charging model to optimise cost recovery and support automation.

The post will require the ability to work individually, as a member of a team and facilitate meetings with a number of key stakeholders across the organisation at all levels.

Job Details

No direct line management responsibility, but will have responsibility for leading a Project Team or Teams consisting of a small number of staff seconded on a full-time or part-time basis to deliver a project or projects.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Degree level qualification or equivalent and/ or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience. 

Driving Licence
A full current driving licence is desirable for this post.
