We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and ambitious Social Work Service Manager to lead high-performing teams, shape strategic priorities, and drive excellence across our social work services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in delivering meaningful outcomes for people, families, and communities.

As a pivotal member of our leadership team, you will influence the future direction of services, lead transformation and improvement programmes, and ensure the highest standards of professional practice. Home / Hybrid Working Consideration

Please Note:

To assist in the management of the Statutory Social Work Service providing a responsive and needs led social work service throughout East Lothian in accordance with relevant legislation, national standards, Council policies and plans with a commitment to achieve best value

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Degree in Social Work (or other recognised Social Work Qualification, i.e. CQSW, Dip SW, CCETSW) or equivalent level of qualification in Occupational Therapy.

Driving Licence
A full current driving licence and/or access to a vehicle are desirable for this post

PVG Membership
This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
