We are seeking an experienced, forward thinking Service Manager to lead the council's Revenues service. This is a strategic leadership role at the heart of supporting our communities and ensuring the financial sustainability of the council.

The Revenues Service interacts with every household and business in the county, and is responsible for the billing and collection of over £200 million income each year across Council Tax, Business Rates, and Housing Rents. Alongside this, our Financial Support and Financial Inclusion teams deliver vital services including welfare rights advice, income maximisation support, benefits administration, and financial assessments for some of our most vulnerable residents.

You will also lead the Council Resources Systems Team, which provides essential systems administration and development across Finance, Revenues and Benefits, and HR—ensuring our digital platforms are robust, efficient, and future ready.

Please Note:

To deliver top performing revenue collection to ensure that the Council has the financial resources available to provide quality services to the residents of East Lothian.

To ensure the co-ordinated management and delivery of a responsive, efficient and accessible welfare advice and support service for East Lothian residents, with a strong focus on income maximisation.

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent and or equivalent level of knowledge/ training/ experience required to do the job.

Membership of relevant professional body.

Continuing Professional Development evidence.
