This position is advertised on behalf of Tranent Day Care Centre. The successful candidate will be an employee of the Day Care Centre and NOT East Lothian Council.
Tranent Day Care Centre provides day care for older adults with varying care needs and are looking for a Support Worker / Bus Escort - Salary £12.60ph. Applicants should have had previous experience of working with this client group.
Permanent Part Time Position
21 hours per week, flexible over 3 days between Monday - Friday, must be flexible to cover staff holidays.

Job Details
To provide assistance, encouragement, practical and emotional support to service users at the Day Centre and assist with all aspects of Daily Living.
Working in partnership with Health and Social Care professionals, Line Manager and colleagues, the post holder will play a key role in the care planning process, setting aims and targets for service users enabling them to maximise their full potential and independence and allow them to remain in their own homes within their communities.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
SVQ Level 2 in Adult Social Care is required along with experience of working with older adults with varying care needs.
PVG Membership
PVG Membership (Adults) is an essential requirement of this post; successful applicants will be required to complete a PVG disclosure.
