The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week).  Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £15.36  - £16.69

Based in Penston House, Macmerry, however will be required to work from other East Lothian Council offices and from home at times.

East Lothian Council's Digital and Systems Team, based in the Contact Centre, manages and develops electronic systems used by the Customer Services Unit. The successful applicant will work as a member of this team and duties will include running system processes, system administration, general housekeeping and security management of several systems including but not limited to two call managment systems, a library management system, a card management system and door access system.

We require a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated person, with excellent communication skills and plenty of initiative to join our very busy team.

As the Contact Centre is a 24 hour / 365 day operation there will be a requirement to work out-of-hours to assist with system servicing and upgrades or help resolve critical system malfunctions and to also provide emergency system support cover.

To assist with the design, maintenance and development of systems and digital services 
offered by Customer Services and with the system housekeeping, data security and data quality of these systems.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to HNC or SVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline e.g. IT or Business 
Management and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and 
competencies gained through previous experience in systems administration, business 
administration or as an IT analyst.
