We are looking for an experienced Team Manager to work in our Learning Disability Social Work Team. The Social Work Team is part of the Learning Disability Services in East Lothian. This includes the Community Learning Disability Team and Adult Community Resources. We are proud of the integrated services that we are able to provide to adults with a learning disability in East Lothian.

To assist in the management of the Adult Learning Disability Social Work service providing a responsive and needs led social work service throughout East Lothian in accordance with relevant legislation, national standards, the Partnerships Strategic priorities, Council policies and plans with a commitment to achieve best value.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
Degree in Social Work (or other recognised Social Work Qualification, i.e. CQSW, Dip SW, CCETSW) or equivalent level of qualification in Occupational Therapy.
Post Graduate Certificate of Advanced Professional Studies (Mental Health Officer
Award) or equivalent
Driving Licence
A full current driving licence is desirable for this post.
PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
