The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.
Days of Work:
Working days are still to be confirmed, working hours will be 08:45-15:15.
To start 11th August 2025.

Preston Tower Primary School is located in the coastal town of Prestonpans. It is a very large school split over two campuses; We currently have over 800 children from Nursery – Primary 7. The school was established in 2019, following the amalgamation of 2 schools.
Our West Loan Campus has twelve P1 – P3 classes and two rooms in our nursery. Our Preston Road Campus has sixteen P4 – P7 classes.
The Senior Leadership Team includes our Head Teacher and 4 Depute Head Teachers.

Job Details
To teach a designated subject (Music/Physical Education/Art or Modern Languages) in line with Curriculum for Excellence.
Teach assigned classes in line with Curriculum for Excellence.
Prepare lessons and courses.
Undertake development of the curriculum.
Contribute to the assessment and reporting on the work of pupils.
Contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
Consult with and assist colleagues on subject specific education issues.
Participate in the organisation of the school to contribute to the school development
Plan and school policies as considered appropriate by the Head Teacher.
Maintain good order and discipline among pupils and to safeguard their health and safety.
Advise and guide pupils on issues related to their education.
Work co-operatively as part of a team.
