An opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of an existing member of staff within the School Admissions Team. The Education Department is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the department’s busy, high-performing admissions team, as part of the wider Leading Business Change service. 

The post-holder will work alongside a fellow Admissions Officer in supporting the Education Admissions Manager in delivering the annual school admissions process, for both placing requests and other admissions processes.  The post-holder will also be expected to provide support to customers seeking advice on the department’s school admissions process.

This is an essential role within the Education Department, ensuring that pupils are admitted to schools across the authority in line with the admissions policy. Applicants should have experience of school admissions processes.

*This post is based at Barrhead Offices and has up to 2 days per week home working. This depends upon the needs of the service, and during training and busy periods it may be necessary to change the balance to a reduced number of days home working to ensure the service can be delivered.
