The Building Standards Inspector will assist the Professional Surveying team and be responsible for their day to day performance and productivity within the service’s regulatory framework and agreed metrics. They will contribute, with their peer managers in the department (and wider council), to ensuring services are joined up services around shared customers – whether these customers are members of the public, national developers, large retailers, leisure groups, social housing landlords, solicitors, estate agents and so on.

They will contribute to embedding agreed service design in terms of roles, processes, ways of working and use of technology and the realisation of associated benefits and continually seeking opportunities for improvement.
