We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support children’s occupational health assessments, in relation to aids and adaptions. This post sits within a busy children and families social work service, thus providing the successful candidate a wealth of support from multi-disciplinary colleagues.
East Renfrewshire HSCP and social work service continues to support a high level of children and young people with complex needs. The service has one full time Occupational therapist, and requires to expand the team, given the increasing demand.
We are keen to find the right candidate and are would like to hear from qualified occupational therapists with an interest working within children’s services. The post is flexible, and all work pattern will be considered.
You will provide a responsive outcome focused occupational therapy service within the context of children social work services including assessment, aids and adaptions.
You will be required to work alongside our request for assistance team and community social work service. This will include attending child planning meetings and providing input to ensure we can support children to remain at home safely.
The successful applicant will undertake appropriate outcome focused Occupational Therapy assessments, identify options, make recommendations, effect solutions; and to provide specialist advice, guidance and support as appropriate to individuals, families and allocated social workers.
This post requires registration. You must currently have registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or eligibility to apply from commencement of employment.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with children and protected adults. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.
