The Adult Learning team is part of the Equality and Equity section within the Education Department of East Renfrewshire Council.
As a key member of Adult Learning Services you will engage and work with individuals and groups to deliver a parental employability project focussing on Core Skills and ESOL learning. You will develop and maintain effective partnership working with locally-operating services and agencies. You will understand the importance of planning and how your work contributes to local strategies, outcomes and targets by using a range of evaluation methods.
You will have good communication skills, work well on your own and be an effective contributor to the work of Adult Learning Services, engaging with adults, carrying out literacy and language assessments and delivering community based programmes.
A commitment to the promotion of community based learning and an ability to plan, evaluate and deliver effective learning are key as well as an ability to work in a team.
This role will involve working within schools.
*Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
