We are looking for an energetic and committed individual who has the personal drive required to deliver an occupational therapy service to children and young people with additional support needs and their families.

We welcome applicants with experience in paediatric Occupational Therapy with strong transferable skills who can bring fresh ideas and a person-centred approach.

You will understand the need to balance and manage risk while being supported to find creative solutions in partnership with individual young people, families you support and partners delivering services for children.

You will be expected to be part of a team striving to achieve improved outcomes for children, young people and their families. You will work in partnership with others to implement GIRFEC principles and using the SHANARRI indicators to undertake appropriate outcome focused Occupational Therapy assessments. As well as provide specialist advice, guidance and support as appropriate to individuals, carers and groups within the community.

Post holder will follow the East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership policies (HSCP) and legislative obligations.

To practice as an occupational therapist in the UK, you must hold current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Children and Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.  It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with protected children and adults.  In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.
