Compliance Assistant - Council Tax

We have an exciting temporary opportunity to join our Council Tax team as our new Compliance Assistant.  As part of this role you will be responsible for providing the Council Tax team leader and the Senior Revenues Officer with assurance that work items within the team have been processed with a high degree of accuracy and that procedures, guidance and legislation are being followed at all times. Helping to deliver an effective and efficient monitoring system and reporting on all aspects of Council tax operational activities.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and experience of reviewing decision making of others whilst being able to build a rapport and create confidence in team members.  The candidate will be able to liaise with managers at all levels, have excellent knowledge of Council Tax legislation and current Council Tax processes. Experience with The NEC Council Tax system is also essential.

The post holder, will be a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who can work independently as well as being an integral member of the team.
