East Renfrewshire Council’s Housing Services is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, committed and experienced individual to take a key role in on our Property, Capital and Asset Management Team.

The post-holder will take a lead on the gas and electrical compliance and, energy efficiency functions as part of the Compliance Team, to ensure that the Council Housing Service meets its regulatory, statutory and policy requirements.

With increased demand for more energy efficient homes as part of EESSH targets and the obligation for the Council to meet Net Zero carbon emission targets, we are seeking a candidate who has a strong track record of providing high quality, effective and customer focussed service on the delivery of energy efficiency measures.

The Council focus and objective is to provide affordable heat to our residents and at the same time, work towards decarbonising our assets. Therefore, the successful applicant must be adaptable to change and be capable of working effectively under pressure. You will be an effective communicator with a positive outlook, with the ability to use initiative in ensuring the Housing Service maintain its housing to as high a standard as resources permit; meets its statutory requirements and achieves service-related outcomes. You must be able to work as part of a team and have a flexible attitude to work.
