We have an exciting and rarely available permanent opportunity to join our friendly and supportive Housing Strategy and Business Improvement Team in a key role leading the team responsible for development and delivery of housing service strategy such as the Local Housing Strategy, and data/ performance management, and business improvement functions within Housing Services.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for the effective development of key strategies such as the LHS and associated delivery and implementation projects, working with our housing strategy team. You will also lead on ensuring our data and performance management is robust and meets our statutory housing requirements (Landlord and strategic functions) and organisational needs and support the work of the business improvement and customer engagement teams in driving forward improvement and modernisation of the service, in partnership with management, staff and customers.
We need someone suitably qualified with demonstrable experience in strategic housing and/or business improvement matters. This includes significant knowledge and experience of working within a housing strategy and/ or social landlord service, and the framework of regulatory and statutory obligations we must meet. You must also be confident and competent in use of office and software applications, including those that support detailed analysis and management of a range of data, and be experienced in interpreting complex data to make informed business decisions.
As a leader you will be able to work on your own initiative to develop solutions, nurture and enable staff to support change, and work collaboratively and effectively with a range of customers, partners and colleagues across the organisation to achieve our shared goals.
Ideally the successful post holder will also have significant experience of working in a local authority housing environment, and track record of managing a service compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
*Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
